On Mannerheim Avenue, the central street of the city, tourists are attracted by the National Museum, whose exposition is dedicated to the history of Finland from the Stone Age to the present day, the monumental parliament building and the Kiasma Museum of Contemporary Art. Above the harbor of Helsinki rises the red-brick Cathedral of the Assumption with rich decoration.
